The first few months of 2025 have tested our collective ability to navigate uncertainty. Educational institutions are the center of attention in much of the social discourse. But at the end of the day, the challenge is to create a meaningful learning experience for the students or professionals you're working with. And it's much more fun to do that together than try to figure it out on your own. Although not by choice, this 3 day course is more needed than ever as we try to create powerful, fun, worthwhile learning experiences.

Kaospilot, Bryn Mawr College, PHENND (Philadelphia Higher Education Network for Neighborhood Development) and Facilitator Drew Bonfiglio invite you to join us on Bryn Mawr's campus as we co-host this 3-day Masterclass for educators, instructional designers, program directors, curriculum designers, facilitators, and anyone who wants to create innovative, experiential, learner-centered programs, courses, and experiences.

With over 300,000 college students in the metropolitan area, nearly 250 public schools in the city limits, many large corporate employers, and the city's robust non-profit and impact sector, Philadelphia is the ideal place to bring together like-minds seeking to challenge traditional teaching methods and create more participatory, learner-centered experiences for learners of all ages.

During this 3-day Masterclass, you can expect:

Why should I join other pilots of chaos at this session?

Even a global pandemic couldn't fundamentally change the way learning happens in most settings. Many classrooms, training sessions, and programs look the same as before the pandemic (which is basically the same as 50 years ago). You can be, and maybe already are, a changemaker. Together we can build more people positive, participatory, valuable, and straight up fun learning experiences.

Meet Your Facilitator!

DREW BONFIGLIO Your Facilitator

Drew Bonfiglio is a facilitator, trainer, and learning designer who brings 15+ years of experience in these fields, a passion for experiential learning, and commitment to “business as a force for good.” He co-founded Emzingo, co-founded and is ex-chair of B Local Boston, currently teaches adaptive leadership as an adjunct professor at Boston College, and is a Kaospilot facilitator.

What else do I need to do and know before signing up?

  • Please confirm that you can fully participate the entire day all 3 days.  This is not the type of experience you can pop in and out of like a conference. We prefer that you express interest in a future session rather than sign up and not be able to fully participate.
  • Light coffee and fruit will be served for breakfast and lunch will be provided on all 3 days.
  • There will be about 30 minutes of pre-work and a request to bring a few small physical things with you.
  • This is an intimate setting.  The course will have between 12 - 24 participants.  Expect to make friends.
